This year LOCO is teaming up with Messy Collective to present a classic Messy Party. This is a night for people who hate networking events, intended for filmmakers and film-lovers to meet, to connect, to vent, or to celebrate with – and maybe even to meet some future collaborators. Stick around for our annual awards ceremony, where we will announce the award winning short films in the following catergories:
- LOCO Award for Best Short (up to 20 mins)
- LOCO Award for Best Short Short (up to 4 mins)
- LOCO Award for Best Short Short Short Short (up to 2 mins)
- LOCO Award for Best Script
- LOCO Award for Best Performance
- LOCO Award for Best Speedy Film (for the one-week filmmaking competition)

Messy Collective is London’s most chaotic community for writers and filmmakers. Created as a safe and fun space for women, NB and trans folk to connect over their work – and make some friends on the way, Messy has been around since November 2022, when it was just a few writers meeting up at cinemas once a month to talk. Now, Messy is an integral part of London’s filmmaking community, with over 3,000 people in our network.
