One of the highlights of LOCO LONDON this year is our Working Women day at BFI Southbank on Saturday 26th January, celebrating smart, funny women on screen. Combining previews, discussions, live performance and the UK premiere of Julie Delpy’s award-winning Le Skylab, it’s a chance to focus on the work, life and challenges of women in comedy today.

We’re delighted to be joined by some of our favourite writers and performers, including Katy Brand (Peep Show, Mongrels, Katy Brand’s Big Ass Show), Sara Pascoe (Twenty Twelve, The Thick Of It, Emily’s Very Sad Play), Caroline Quentin (Men Behaving Badly, Blue Murder, Restoration Home) and Natalie Haynes, who will be hosting a special live talk show.

Rachel Mars will also be performing her remarkable live performance The Way You Tell Them, which looks at comedy, autobiography and the pleasures and perils of being funny. Rachel and Sara both recently performed at the Beyond The Joke Festival at Camden People’s Theatre

You can find more details about the day, which is in partnership with Underwire Festival and kindly supported by Creative Skillset and Benefit Cosmetics, right here
